FRIDAY 6 APRIL 2012
EVENT 1 - ELITE PROLOGUE (SILVA National Orienteering League - Round 2)
This is an individual event of sprint length. Two courses will be offered, one for M21E and M17-20E classes and the other for W21E and W17-20E classes.
The races will start at 11:00am with one minute start intervals.
This event will be conducted on “Wilmot’s Waterholes” a fast open granite map with some mining detail at 1:5,000 scale.

The public prologue is an individual event using the same courses as Event 1.
The first starts will be from 1:00pm, after the Elite races have finished.
The Family Relay will consist of one family member running the Long (M21E) course, another running the Medium (W21E) course and a third running a Short course set to ‘easy’ navigation standard. All members of the family will start at the same time. The Family Relays will have both an 'open' and a 'handicap' section.
No EOD will be available.
Catering will be available.
Travel time from Stanthorpe is 12 minutes.
EVENT 2 - PUBLIC PROLOGUE/ FAMILY RELAYS
The public prologue is an individual event using the same courses as Event 1.
The first starts will be from 1:00pm, after the Elite races have finished.
The Family Relay will consist of one family member running the Long (M21E) course, another running the Medium (W21E) course and a third running a Short course set to ‘easy’ navigation standard. All members of the family will start at the same time. The Family Relays will have both an 'open' and a 'handicap' section.

EVENT 3 - DAY ONE AUSTRALIAN THREE DAY (SILVA National Orienteering League - Round 2) This is an individual event, with the courses for the M/W21E and M/W17-20E set at middle distance length, and all other courses set to achieve winning times for multi-day events. The venue is 8km north-east of Stanthorpe on the "Over the Border" map and is an undulating open forest area with scattered areas of granite. The map scale will be 1:10,000, with 1:7,500 for some junior classes. Starts will be from 9:00am. Enter-on-the-day courses will be offered on this day. A children's activity centre will operate for the duration of this event. Parents may request split start times. Catering and first-aid will be available. |

EVENT 4 - DAY TWO AUSTRALIAN THREE DAY (SILVA National Orienteering League - Round 2) This is an individual event, with courses for M/W21E and M/W17-20E set at the long distance length. All other courses will be set to achieve the winning times for multi-day events. First starts will be from 9:30am. The venue is a new spur gully area near Pratten 42km west of Warwick, about 80 mins from Stanthorpe. The map will be printed in the scales of 1:15,000 (for elite courses); 1:10,000 (for most courses) and 1:7,500 (for some junior courses). Enter-on-the-day courses will be offered on this day. A children's activity centre will operate for the duration of this event. Parents may request split start times. Catering and first-aid will be available. OA MEETING An OA Meeting will be held in Stanthorpe at 3:00pm AUSTRALIAN 3 DAYS DINNER AND OA PRESENTATIONS The dinner will be held at Dalveen 10 mins north of Stanthorpe commencing at 6:30pm |

EVENT 5 - DAY THREE AUSTRALIAN THREE DAY (SILVA National Orienteering League - Round 2)
This is an individual event, with the courses for the M/W21E and M/W17-20E set at relay distance length, and all other courses set to achieve the winning times for multi-day events.
First starts will be from 9:00am.
The venue is near Dalveen, 28km north of Stanthorpe. The terrain is steep to undulating forest and grazing land with scattered granite areas. The maps will be printed at 1:10,000 and 1:7,500.
Enter-on-the-day courses will be offered on this day.
A children's activity centre will operate for the duration of this event. Parents may request split start times.
Catering and first-aid will be available.
There will be a presentation ceremony for the Three Days held after this event.

EVENT 6 - "THE CASCADES" - 15 km WEST OF STANTHORPE
This is an area of very complex granite boulders and rock slabs, first used for the Asia-Pacific Orienteering Championships in 2000. It rates as one of the most challenging granite areas in Australia.
Starts will be from 9:00am.

EVENT 7 - HARDINGS PADDOCK - PURGA near YAMANTO
An event will be conducted on Thursday 12 April at Harding's Paddock, Purga near Yamanto, 45km from the Brisbane CBD.
Starts will be from 12:00noon.
This is a classic low key event, part of a Thursday program held close to Brisbane throughout the year. Harding’s Paddock is a very pretty, challenging bush area with a nice central assembly area and picnic grounds. We are offering a free BBQ included in the entry fee and encourage families and individuals to join us in a relaxing atmosphere. Sport Ident will be used (available for hire) and Entry on the Day is available. Purga is an ideal stopping off point between Stanthorpe and Brisbane on the way to the NOL events at the weekend.

EVENTS 8 AND 9 - SPRINTS - NOL RACE / PUBLIC EVENTS (SILVA NOL Round 2b)
Two sprint events will be held on this day at two venues in Brisbane. These will involve a public race and a NOL race for those in State M/W21E and M/W17-20E teams.
Enter-on-the day will be offered at these events.
Event 8 will be conducted at the Kelvin Grove Campus of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), approximately 3km north of the CBD. Public starts will be from 9:30am and elite starts from 11:00am.
Event 9 will be held at the University of Queensland at St. Lucia, approximately 7km from the CBD. Public starts will be from 2:00pm and elite starts from 3:30pm.
There will be no child minding facilities offered at either of these sprints.
There will be first-aid, but no catering at these events.
SUNDAY 15 APRIL 2012
EVENT 10 - LONG DISTANCE - NOL RACE / PUBLIC EVENT (SILVA NOL Round 2b)
This will be a long distance race for the elite and junior elites. The public race will be to badge standard.
The venue will be conducted at Collins Creek near Mundoolun, 49km south of Brisbane.
The Elite races will be mass starts from 9:30am. The public race will start from 10:30am.
Enter-on-the-day courses will be offered on this day.
A children's activity centre will operate at this event.
There will be first-aid, but no catering at this event.
